Character. Ethics. Integrity.
These are the things that Arlen Specter is missing. And for him to dupe his Pennsylvania constituents into electing him to another term as Senator?
Calculating. Fraudulent. Traitorous.
Just-- FYI-- I'm not done with this one, yet.

I completely agree with you on Arlen Specter. If memory serves, one Senator John McCain did the exact same thing in Arizona, because the only way he could win was to jump to the Republican Party. Talk about a wolf in sheep's clothing, and you nailed it when you used the word calculating. Very methodical, this guy. JS
ReplyDeleteThe funny thing is that Specter was originally a Democrat, and switched to the Republican party back in '66.
ReplyDeleteSo, in essence, he either a) can't make up his mind; b) is an opportunist or c) is nothing but another scurrilous, untrustworthy politician that the Repulican party should be proud to be rid of.
Personally, I prefer people with integrity. (I know, I know-- I said that before.)
And with a nod to a reader who sent me an email, I need to point out that Specter was an assistant council for the Warren Commission-- and was at least co-author of the "single bullet" theory in the assasination of John F. Kennedy-- the theory that ruled-out any type of conspiracy.
Need I say more?
